Terms & conditions when shopping with us
Ordering and payment
When you (the customer) check out your wines we (the company) will send a confirmation email. We take payments online via our payment provider. We accept Debit cards and Credit cards. After you have checked in, we will contact you to arrange delivery. We do everything possible to ensure all of the wines online are available, but there may be occasions, especially with some of our rarer, small production wines, when a vintage may have changed or a product is no longer available. If this occurs we will always contact you to confirm you are happy with the vintage change, offer a suitable replacement, or refund.
Delivery is free for any 12 bottles which may be mixed.
Below this a standard charge of £15.00 will apply.
The exception to this is postcodes in the highlands and Islands and similar, where additional charges may apply. Please contact us for further details.
We aim to deliver within three working days. For some postcodes this may be longer, we will let you know when we contact you to arrange delivery. Otherwise contact us to enquire or check the list of postcodes below.
All pricing on our site is by the single bottle, magnum or other unit, and all prices include VAT.
Although we make every effort to ensure pricing is correct, if a mistake has been made on pricing, we reserve the right not to supply at the price offered.
When an offer is time limited, we reserve the right to close the offer early due to unforeseen circumstances.
We reserve the right to increase prices without prior notice if our costs increase due to currency fluctuation, duty increase, supplier cost increases or other factors beyond our control. We will endeavour to notify you in advance if we are aware that this may happen.
All of our wines are offered subject to availability.
We ask our customers to undertake to inspect all wines on delivery and to inform us immediately of any shortages, damage, or any other issue. You will be deemed to have accepted the order if we do not hear from you within five working days of the delivery date.
We pride ourselves on supplying you with the right wines. We want you to be able to buy with confidence and will accept returns of any unopened wines which are not to your tastes. Please email email@example.com to discuss options. Goods can be returned to us at our office address. Collections will be charged to the customer at cost.
No refund will be considered in relation to any wine purchased 12 months or more prior to the lodging of that claim, regardless of where the wine has been stored in the interim.
Any breakage, theft or short/partial delivery must be notified immediately and the delivery note amended accordingly. We cannot accept claims for any losses if the delivery note is signed ‘unexamined’.
The Company referred to in these conditions is Robert Rolls & Co Ltd and the person buying from the Company is “the Customer”. No variation of these conditions will be binding on the Company unless in writing and signed by a registered director.
It is against the law for any person under the age of 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, alcohol or for any person over the age of 18 to buy or attempt to buy alcohol for any person under the age of 18. By placing an order you confirm that you and the recipient of the wine are at least 18 years old.
Postcodes with delivery restrictions
If you (the customer) live in any of the postcodes below, please contact us for a delivery quote. In most instances we will be able to deliver the wine without additional cost to the customer, but there may be a delay for delivery.

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
Robert Rolls and Company Limited is incorporated in England and Wales, all contracts are subject to English law and jurisdiction.
