Bordeaux

Bordeaux by the bottle and case

Alongside the Château we work with directly we also hold good stocks of Bordeaux, from Cru Bourgeois to classed growths, from vintages that are ready to drink now.

Background

Robert first visited Bordeaux over forty years ago, to do a ‘stage’, helping with the harvest, with the Kressman family of Château Latour-Martillac. We still work with the family today. He has visited to taste the new vintage almost every year since, giving us a huge depth of knowledge and ability to advise you on wines for laying down, for possible investment, and of course, for drinking.

Over these many years, Robert Rolls has built up a collection of some of the finest French wines, with a real depth in mature Bordeaux. Our fine wine list contains hundreds of perfectly aged wines perfect for drinking now, many available by the bottle. Please download from the link below to see the full offer. A selection of our favourite wines for drinking now follows.

Current Vintages

Second WinesVintage
Second wines, done properly, should offer an insight into the Grand Vin's character and style at a lower price. Often made from younger vines and in an earlier maturing fashion the best can offer real value and interest. In a great vintage, like 2009 and 2010, they can be fine wines in their own right.
