Great news from Champagne where Chantal & Pierre Gonet have received a ‘Coup de Coeur’ for their TER Blanc de Blanc NV!
My favourite of the Gonet Champagnes, the TER Blanc is terrific. Three of the house’s best plots are used in the blend, two thirds in the Grand Crus of “Les Hautes Mottes” in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and “Vozémieux” in Oger, and one third from the 1er Cru “Les Corrigniers” of the Montagne de Reims. They blend beautifully to produce a champagne of fantastic balance, so concentrated yet elegant with an electric lick of minerality and bursting with citrus fruit and white flowers.
