Domaine ZINCK, Eguisheim

Father Paul, and now son Philippe, have created a bright new star in the Alsace firmament. They make three ranges of wine: ‘Portrait’ clearly defines the Alsatian varietals in a very clean, fruit driven style. The ‘Terroir’ range focuses on wines made from the superior hillside sites and which, as the name suggests, provide more depth, flavour, and structure, from individual soils. These are first rate food wines. Finally, there is their Grand Cru selection where principally the Riesling and Gewurztraminer varietals from Grand Cru vineyards express themselves in varying degrees of intensity and sweetness.

All 3 of the Zinck ranges are grown and vinified with the same care and attention, with many of the 'Terroir' wines grown on sites just next to their Grand Cru equivalents. All the wines are hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel to retain their aromatic freshness. As of the 2011 vintage the Domaine is 100% organically farmed.
